7 Steps for succeeding in Middle School

1. Offer hands-on guidance.

2. Help him/her get organized.

3. Teach time-management skills.

4. Develop note-taking skills.

5. Help hone your student's budding study skills.

6. Meet with the teacher or teachers.

7. If all else fails, it might be time to look for a tutor.

SCHOOL STARTS ON AUG. 10 FOR 6TH GRADE AND AUG. 11 FOR ALL STUDENTS

D. D. Eisenhower Middle School

The EMS staff will work collaboratively to ensure that ALL students are academically and socially successful.

We will provide a high quality education to our students by building meaningful relationships and creating relevant and engaging learning opportunities.  Our students will be empowered to apply their skills and knowledge in all aspects of their daily lives.

We want to congratulate our outstanding Vocal Music Teacher, Mr. Eli Jones for receiving the 2015 Prelude Award.  Mr. Jones has exhibited successful teaching and performance in vocal music and he exhibits a professional demeanor in interactions with colleagues.  Mr. Jones possess the potential as an exemplary professional with an extended career in choral music and is a spirit of service through his active participation and involvement in KMEA.  We are proud to have him on staff!

Physicals for our student-athletes on Aug. 20

Dr. Welch will be performing physicals at EMS.  All of your coaches will be involved helping with the process.  

 

$10.00 and you must have your physical forms completed.  Transportation will be provided.

 

Physical forms will be provided through the main office.

 

YOU MUST HAVE A PHYSICAL TO PARTICIPATE IN ATHLETICS and they are good for the entire 2015-2015 school year!!

Eisenhower Middle School implements PBIS as our school-wide positive behavior support model.
